DANCE CLASSES FOR ALL LEVELS
Hot Styles Dance Company has been serving the State College and Bellefonte communities since 2004. We strive to deliver the highest quality of dance training, while nurturing each student's unique gift of talent and creativity. We offer all core dance styles including ballet, pointe, modern, hip hop, acro, jazz, tap, lyrical and musical theatre. Our dedication to community involvement has always been one of our highest priorities. We offer both recreational and pre-professional tracks to students of all ages.
We employ some of the areas most experienced, educated and professional choreographers to make up our staff. Our staff believes in continuing education by attending classes, annual conferences/trainings for technique, stretching, strength/conditions, communication, and leadership.

FOUNDER
My name is Dechause Roane
Dechaune Roane is the owner and founder of Hot Styles Dance Company, located in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. With over 24 years of experience in tumbling, martial arts, and hip hop, Dechaune brings a dynamic, high-energy approach to dance instruction that blends athleticism, artistry, and discipline.
Originally from the Logan section of North Philadelphia, Dechaune grew up immersed in the city’s rich hip hop culture. Known on the battle scene as “Batman,” he developed his skills in popping, locking, breaking, and house while blending them with his background in martial arts and gymnastics. He holds black belts from both Tiger Schulmann's and Kim's Karate and has also trained in Capoeira, Kung Fu, and Ninjutsu.
Dechaune began teaching in 2002 and founded Hot Styles Dance Company in 2004. Since then, HSDC has earned national and international recognition—competing at Dance Worlds and Dance Summit, placing at the U.S. Finals and Starquest Nationals, and even performing at the United World Games in Austria. He’s also worked with dance organizations in Canada, sharing his expertise in hip hop technique.
At the heart of HSDC is Dechaune’s passion for teamwork, personal growth, and community. Under his leadership, the studio has supported causes like Relay For Life, March of Dimes, and Penn State THON. His teaching focuses on helping students build confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of support for one another—on and off the stage.
